If you’re motivated, enjoy working with vehicles, and want an opportunity to build a career with a strong team, Quick Lane Technician Job Duties Perform thorough multi-point vehicle inspections Communicate additional service and repair needs to Service Advisors Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand-operated or compressed-air-powered grease guns Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles Check and adjust tire pressure as needed Lubricate moving parts using specified lubricants Drain engine oil and refill with the manufacturer-recommended amount and type Replace oil and air filters Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance or repair needs Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 40-50lbs and stand for extended periods NYS Inspectors license preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active shop environment Basic understanding of automotive systems Ability to perform routine maintenance such as: Oil and filter changes Tire rotations Multi-point inspections Fluid checks and fills Experience using shop tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to shop safety Ability to follow checklists and dealership procedures Good communication with advisors and technicians Reliability- consistent attendance and time management Customer focused mindset Basic automotive coursework from trade school preferred Prior lube/automotive experience is a plus but not required Dealership or quick-service background is an advantage Summary Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays 401k with Employer Match 3 Health insurance plans to choose from Vision Life Insurance Disability Insurance Employee Social Events Basil Ford Resale Sheridan is part of the Basil Family Dealership Group, known for stability, growth, and promoting from within.
