Qualifications One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training 3 years of pipe fitting required 3-5 years of experience working in an manufacturingenvironment Ability to read blueprints and usemath skills Ability to read and interpreta tape measure Must be able to work as a team Ability to pass a drug test Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints. Assemble or secure pipes,fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding. Attach pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment. Modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machines or equipment, using hand or power tools.
