Olympia Chimney, Inc. has partnered with Hueman to find a full-time Machine Operator 2 for their manufacturing department in Pittston, PA.

As a Machine Operator 2 , you will operate and maintain a variety of industrial machines to produce high-quality metal chimney venting components. This role is responsible for machine setup, production quality, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, material handling, and ensuring orders are completed accurately and efficiently.

Olympia Chimney is a leading designer and manufacturer of stainless steel chimney liners, venting systems for heating appliances, and other accessories for venting professionals and hearth retailers throughout the United States.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain a variety of light and heavy industrial machines to meet production requirements.
• Configure machine settings, including speed, size, shape, and operating controls, and make adjustments as needed throughout production.
• Inspect finished products and materials for quality, identify defects, and perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
• Identify and correct minor mechanical issues, perform routine machine cleaning and recalibration, and ensure equipment is ready for production.
• Prepare and handle production materials, maintain an organized work area, and complete orders accurately in the Acumatica system.
• Create custom parts as needed and assist with training and monitoring new machine operators in the assigned work cell.
• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and production procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, read a tape measure, and convert fractions to decimals; basic geometry skills are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work around fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and varying temperatures.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• First Shift: 7AM-3:30PM
