Su Casa seeks a strategic and results-oriented Development Consultant to expand and strengthen fundraising to solidify the organization's mission and long‑term sustainability. Su Casa is seeking an experienced, strategic, and motivated Development Consultant to grow philanthropic revenue. Working approximately 15 hours per week, this individual will optimize individual giving, raise funds through special events, and diversify donor appeal strategies. The Development Consultant will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and the grant‑writing team, ensuring the success of the agency’s fundraising strategic action plan. The position is also responsible for updating and protecting the integrity of Su Casa’s donor database. This role is ideal for an experienced fundraising professional who is highly organized, self‑motivated, and capable of producing meaningful results within a limited weekly schedule. Fundraising Strategy and Planning Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement annual fundraising priorities and revenue goals Identify opportunities to diversify funding sources and strengthen donor engagement Recommend strategies to increase unrestricted and sustainable funding Donor Relations and Stewardship Maintain and strengthen relationships with current donors, supporters, and community partners Assist in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors Draft donor communications, acknowledgments, and impact reports Development Operations Maintain fundraising calendars, prospect tracking systems, and development records in donor database Donor Perfect Input accurate donor information, donation tracking and development activities in Donor Perfect to easily extract reports or lists when needed Community Engagement and Special Projects Support all fundraising events, campaigns, donor cultivation activities and corporate sponsorship Assist in developing compelling fundraising materials and impact stories that communicate Su Casa's mission and outcomes QualificationsRequired Minimum of three years’ experience including but not limited to donor outreach and retention, special event fundraising, direct mail and digital/social media fundraising Systems Proficiency: Strong experience in donor management software/CRMs (preferably Donor Perfect) to maintain accurate records, generate reports, and segment audiences Proven ability to cultivate individual, foundation, and corporate donors Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational and project management abilities; managing priorities with moderate supervision to achieve agreed upon goals Commitment to the mission of ending domestic violence and supporting survivors Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational or professional experience Preferred Nonprofit experience in human services, domestic violence, social justice or related arena Knowledge of the Southern California philanthropic community, corporate giving trends, and donor networks in Long Beach and the Greater Los Angeles area Deliverables and Performance Expectations The Fund Development Manager will be expected to: Maintain an accurate donor database, an active pipeline of prospective funding opportunities, a calendar for both outreach and recognition Support donor outreach, cultivation, stewardship efforts, special events, grant proposals Provide regular reports, updates and recommendations to the Executive Director Contribute to achieving annual fundraising objectives and strengthening the organization's development infrastructure Compensation & Engagement This is an independent contractor/consultant position Hourly rate or monthly retainer is competitive and commensurate with mid‑level fundraising experience The position offers a flexible, hybrid schedule, combining remote work with face‑to‑face meetings and local event attendance #J-18808-Ljbffr Su Casa ~ Ending Domestic Violence
