Job OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare professional to join a dynamic team in a Progressive Care Unit located in Hawaii. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and telemetry monitoring in a 15-bed unit.Shift and ScheduleNight Shift: 18:45 - 07:1536 hours per week following the first week of orientation.No guaranteed hours, with no call required.General Job DutiesThe primary focus of this role includes:Providing primary nursing care to patients.Monitoring telemetry and reading telemetry strips.Performing fingerstick blood sugar tests.Equipment UtilizationThe following equipment will be utilized within the unit:Meditech charting softwarePyxis for medication managementBIPAP machinesContinuous cardiac monitoring systemsQualificationsApplicants must meet the following requirements:Minimum of 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.Progressive Care and telemetry experience is preferred.Licensures and CertificationsSuccessful candidates must possess the following:Active Hawaii nursing license prior to the start of the assignment.ACLS certification preferred.PALS certification preferred.NIHSS certification preferred.Additional ResponsibilitiesCandidates may be required to float to other acute units within the facility, including:Medical UnitsSurgical/PediatricsICUEmergency RoomDress CodeScrubs are required as part of the dress code.Onboarding RequirementsCandidates must arrive by the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
