Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Jaffrey Family Medicine
Location: Jaffrey, NH 03452
Department: Jaffrey Family Medicine
Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Shift: Days, Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. The CMA assists with patient care, examinations, clinical procedures, documentation, and day-to-day operations of the medical practice. The position requires professionalism, compassion, flexibility, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, laboratory tests, and other procedures within the scope of MA certification.
• Assist physicians with patient examinations, including obtaining blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Prepare and assist patients before examinations and treatments.
• Assist with nursing procedures as directed by the physician.
• Maintain clean and properly stocked examination rooms.
• Take and return patient phone calls as directed by the physician.
• Provide patients with instructions as directed by the physician.
• Maintain adequate supplies and requisition supplies when needed.
• Assist with medical records, referral forms, laboratory slips, and other documentation.
• Escort and assist patients to and from examination rooms.
• Support other clinical or administrative duties as requested by the Manager or Clinical Coordinator.
• Work effectively as a team member and remain flexible to changing needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of formal Medical Assistant curriculum/specialized training .
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting .
• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.

• Full-time day position with a Monday–Friday schedule.

• Salary is dependent on education and experience.
