We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and own the quality management system at our Mansfield, Texas manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for product quality, process control, customer and supplier quality, and regulatory/standards compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can drive a culture of continuous improvement, reduce defects and scrap, and ensure every product meets customer specifications and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Own, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), working towards.  compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949).

Establish and monitor in-process, incoming, and final inspection procedures to ensure product conforms to specifications.

Working with production leads to ensure all manufacturing steps are followed and maintained.

Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, fishbone), and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

Lead customer quality interface — respond to complaints, manage returns/RMAs, and drive resolution and customer satisfaction.

Manage supplier quality, including supplier audits, scorecards, and corrective action follow-up.

Develop and maintain quality documentation: control plans, FMEAs, work instructions, inspection criteria, and PPAP/APQP submissions as required.

Prepare for and host internal, customer, and third-party/registrar audits; maintain audit readiness.

Track and report key quality metrics (scrap, rework, first-pass yield, PPM, cost of quality) and lead improvement initiatives.

Partner with production, engineering, and purchasing to resolve quality issues and support new product/process introduction.

Qualifications

5+ years of quality management or quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; rubber, polymer, plastics, or related materials experience a strong plus.

Working knowledge of quality standards and systems such as ISO 9001; experience with AS9100 (aerospace) and/or IATF 16949 (automotive) preferred.

Hands-on experience with core quality tools: CAPA, root-cause analysis, FMEA, control plans, PPAP/APQP, and SPC.

Proficiency reading process documents and customer specifications.

Experience leading audits (internal, customer, and registrar) and managing nonconformance.

Strong knowledge of inspection and measurement methods and equipment calibration.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and manage a quality team.

Proficiency with ERP/quality software and Microsoft Office (Excel data analysis).

Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) a plus.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. CQE/CQM certification a plus.
