Systems Engineer

You will report to the department manager and be located onsite at our Huntsville, AL location. Key Responsibilities Design, integration and documentation of Plant Process Computer Systems used in nuclear power plants. Design custom adapters/cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new computer equipment. Assist with cabinet layout and design incorporated with needed power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment and servers which are the primary design components. Prepare documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery. Design to requirements, build and test. Perform review of hardware design, system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design. Perform review of data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs. Learn and understand component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables. Participate in the set‑up, system modification, integration, testing and delivery of our projects. Understand and implement the quality standards applicable to nuclear safety systems. Willing to travel and work with local customers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with applicable years of experience in drawing review, design and systems. Minimum 8 years of applicable experience required. Data acquisition hardware and software Entry level knowledge of circuit designs to support custom cables and interfaces. Knowledge of Data Acquisition systems consisting of servers, workstations, controllers, I/O modules or boards. Experience with ACAD, 3D modeling. Drawing review. Experience with Cisco switches. Experience with RTP data acquisition systems or other. Experience with servers and workstations. Employee referral program. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($85,200 to $106,500 per year.
