Coordinator, Tours and Visitor Experience

Coordinator, Tours and Visitor Experience Responsible for leading all aspects of campus visits to the University of Arizona, ensuring a highly personalized, welcoming, and informative experience for prospective students and families. Manages and develops the Arizona Ambassador student staff, building a team of tour guides to deliver a concierge-level experience for all prospective, admitted, group, and VIP tours. Schedule: 40 hours per week (Tuesday – Saturday, with adjusted weekend Sunday – Monday coverage for Wildcat Welcome Center). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Duties & Responsibilities Campus visit program coordination (45%): Lead scheduling and logistics of campus, group, and VIP tours; maintain the visit calendar in Technolutions Slate; use data‑driven decisions to build schedules; coordinate with university units and external partners to provide integrated services. Arizona Ambassador supervision (30%): Hire, train, evaluate, and support Arizona Ambassador student staff; manage indirect supervision of other Enrollment Management students; ensure proper staffing in Wildcat Welcome Center; mentor staff for professional growth. Reporting and assessment (15%): Maintain accurate records and report progress and visitor engagement to supervisors; use data to inform continuous improvement of the campus visit program. Admission counseling (10%): Advise prospects, applicants, and incoming students on university admissions policies and procedures; serve as admissions counselor on duty; provide customer service, campus events, and recruitment support as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to quickly assess guest needs and identify appropriate next steps. Collaborative teamwork across Office Administration, Enrollment Management, and university units. Knowledge of FERPA regulations and guiding principles of recruitment work. Physical and Environmental Requirements Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds. Work in a large, busy welcome center environment. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning through professional experience. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fingerprint clearance required upon hire. Preferred Qualifications Experience in customer service, event coordination, or higher education.
