If you are committed to excellence, value teamwork, and enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, we invite you to apply.Position SummaryThe Certified Medication Aide is responsible for the safe administration of medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse while assisting with resident care and maintaining accurate documentation. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality care and regulatory compliance.Essential ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications accurately and safely according to physician orders and facility policies.Verify resident identity before medication administration and observe residents for medication effectiveness and potential adverse reactions.Accurately document medication administration and promptly report medication refusals, errors, or changes in resident condition.Review Medication Administration Records (MARs) to ensure completeness and accuracy.Assist with medication inventory, storage, and ordering while maintaining proper security and accountability for medications, including controlled substances.Communicate effectively with licensed nurses, physicians, pharmacy staff, residents, and family members regarding medication-related concerns.Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed and provide compassionate, resident-centered care.Maintain compliance with infection prevention, HIPAA, and all federal, state, and facility regulations.Promote a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents, visitors, and team members.Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing leadership.QualificationsCurrent North Carolina Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification required.Current North Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing preferred.Current CPR certification required.Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic health records preferred.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and provide compassionate resident care.BenefitsCompetitive payDaily Pay – access your earned wages when you need themMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (PTO)Employee recognition and engagement programsOngoing education, training, and career advancement opportunitiesSupportive leadership and a collaborative work environmentWhy Join Magnolia Gardens?At Magnolia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, our employees are the foundation of everything we do.
