Senior Accountant

Compensation To $95k, plus bonus. Job Overview – Senior Accountant – 34251 Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the general ledger and month‑end close process across multiple business units. This position offers strong exposure to a public company environment, including financial reporting and SOX compliance, along with the opportunity to work cross‑functionally with teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities Manage general ledger accounting for multiple business units (excluding inventory), including preparation of recurring and non‑recurring journal entries Support the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes Perform and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Reconcile intercompany balances and collaborate with internal partners to resolve discrepancies Analyze intercompany transactions and provide insights as needed Prepare quarterly and annual reporting packages to support external (SEC) reporting requirements Maintain and upload financial data within the company’s consolidation system (e.g., OneStream) Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) requirements Contribute to process improvements and ongoing finance transformation initiatives Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within public accounting and/or a publicly traded company CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred Experience working with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills What Sets This Role Apart Exposure to public company reporting and SOX compliance Opportunity to support multiple business units in a complex environment High visibility across finance and operational teams Collaborative, team‑oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence Additional Job Details Seniority Level: Associate Sherpa is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sherpa | Recruiting, Staffing & Consulting
