Job Skills / Requirements Monday - Friday | 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to support evening cleaning operations at a professional office complex in the downtown Birmingham area near the Old Woodward corridor. This position is focused primarily on cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and maintaining employee kitchenette areas. The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work independently, and takes pride in keeping shared spaces clean, sanitary, and well maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial duties throughout office and common areas
- Vacuum offices, hallways, conference rooms, and shared spaces using a backpack vacuum
- Maintain cleanliness throughout entrances, workspaces, and shared areas
- Follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any facility concerns or supply needs to management
- Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms
- Clean sinks, counters, mirrors, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces
- Clean and maintain employee kitchenettes
- Empty light trash from kitchenette areas
- Dust ledges and other assigned surfaces
- Sweep and mop restroom and kitchenette floors
- Report supply or facility concerns to management
- Comfortable cleaning restrooms
- Dependable and consistent attendance
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to follow established cleaning and safety procedures
