Job Title: Federal Safety Manager
Job Description
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex federal projects with a focus on compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards and Quality Control Management (QCM) requirements. You will oversee projects from planning through completion, ensuring they meet federal regulations, quality expectations, and contractual obligations while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities

• Lead and manage federal projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with USACE standards and requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, to deliver projects on time and within defined parameters.
• Oversee and coordinate all project activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, contract specifications, and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor Quality Control Management (QCM) processes to ensure all work meets or exceeds USACE and project-specific quality requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
• Identify project risks and issues related to federal and USACE requirements and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports in accordance with federal and USACE guidelines.
• Conduct regular project reviews and progress meetings to track performance and ensure adherence to schedule and quality expectations.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by reviewing project outcomes and applying lessons learned to future federal projects.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on federal projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards and processes.
• Experience implementing and overseeing Quality Control Management (QCM) on projects.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a federal project environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations and contract requirements to project execution.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse stakeholders and documenting project activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions in a regulated environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience managing projects specifically under USACE oversight.
• experience in federal contracting or work on federally funded projects.
• Familiarity with formal quality control and quality assurance frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners in a structured, compliance-driven setting.

Work Environment
The role operates in a structured, compliance-focused environment centered on federal projects and USACE requirements. You will work closely with technical teams, contractors, and federal stakeholders, following formal processes, documentation standards, and quality control procedures. The position involves a balance of office-based planning, coordination, and documentation, along with periodic site or field coordination depending on project needs. The work culture emphasizes accountability, adherence to federal and USACE standards, and consistent delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Stewart, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $75.00/hr.
