Job Description

• PennDOT/other DOT experience required
• Manage and supervise daily construction activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, materials, and resources effectively.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that may arise promptly.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, daily reports, and change orders.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
• Communicate progress updates and potential challenges to stakeholders as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Civil Superintendent should have:

• Proven leadership abilities in managing highway construction teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and codes.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced effectively communicating between laborers, engineers, municipality representatives, etc.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• A proactive approach to managing project timelines and budgets.
