Job Description
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join its collaborative and high-acuity NICU team at Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, offering a balanced 7-on/7-off schedule, home call model, and the opportunity to deliver advanced neonatal care in one of Central Louisiana's leading pediatric facilities.

Job Description:
Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with a wide range of acuity and case complexity
Collaborate within a 2 Neonatologist and 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) team model
Conduct daily neonatal rounds and manage patient care plans
Oversee and support 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
Participate in home call coverage after completing daily rounds
Manage newborn nursery rounds as part of patient care responsibilities
Support approximately 1,500-2,000 annual deliveries
Provide coverage for in-house patients while NNP-led transport team manages neonatal transports
Deliver care aligned with evidence-based protocols and quality improvement initiatives
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collegial and supportive clinical environment
Contribute to ongoing clinical excellence and neonatal care advancements
This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required
