(No driving to Maryland or DC!) Job Description The Lead HVAC Installer will oversee and execute the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems residential replacements. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering superior service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC installation, a strong understanding of industry standards, and the ability to mentor and guide junior technicians. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment. Conduct system testing and performance checks to verify correct installation and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation. Provide on-site training and supervision to junior installers and apprentices. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers to coordinate schedules and project requirements. Maintain accurate records of installations, including job reports and inventory of equipment and materials. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance skills and knowledge. Other duties as necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in HVAC preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities. Effective communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50+ lbs.). Comfortable working in various weather conditions and confined spaces. Capable of climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling as necessary.
