Mechanical Engineer

Equity Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a contract assignment supporting a leading energy industry client in Houston, TX. This role will support the design and execution of large-scale facility projects, including turbine and electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor stations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project execution, and industrial facility design. Responsibilities Lead and support facility project development, scope definition, scheduling, and cost estimating. Manage engineering deliverables from third-party engineering firms. Review and approve technical drawings, reports, equipment specifications, and vendor proposals. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and corporate standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to engineering teams. Qualifications 7 years of progressive engineering and project management experience. Experience with large horsepower turbine and electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor stations required. Strong knowledge of industrial facility design and project execution. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
