Registered Nurse Fairfax, VA$42 per hourMUST:Experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse2+ years of circulating experience in an Operating Room2+ years of experience working on Orthopedic casesMust have experience with OrthopedicsMust have BLS Experience with preparing Operating Room Sterilizing and counting instrumentsDUTIES:Prepare for and assist with surgical proceduresSets up equipmentEnsure set up of appropriate equipment depending on proceduresArrange instruments as requiredAnticipate needs for required materials including instruments, sponges, sutures, suction tubes and other itemsMaintain aseptic fieldAdjust operating table and equipment as requiredPrepare operative area and drapes patient or assists surgeon with drapingObserves progress of surgeryAfter operation, may apply or assist in applying dressings, and transferring patient, from operating room to recovery roomCleans or directs cleaning and sterilization of contaminated instruments, equipment and suppliesRe-sterilize unused suppliesClean or assist in cleaning operating room areas and caring for and disposing of infectious and soiled materialsOther duties as assignedQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
