About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in field, 3 years within specialty required for first-time travelers License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have at least 1 year of EPIC experience Experience in orthopedics and bariatric patient care Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias in telemetry Description: This position requires floating to other like units or nearby facilities as needed. The nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. The typical patient ratio on nights is 6:1. Daily census averages around 20 patients. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The medication system utilized is Pyxis. Specialized procedures and assessments will be conducted within the nurse's competency. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience with telemetry and charting systems. The nurse must be able to demonstrate competencies for tasks performed. Module completion and pre-assignment testing are required for all nurses. Time spent on modules will be reimbursed, up to 16 hours. Traveling nurses should ensure compliance with floating requirements to other units and facilities.
