DHA Communications Associate (Administration & Operations)

SUMMARY: The Communications Associate will demonstrate cross-sectional skills in marketing, communications, and public relations, including public speaking, graphic design, video, photography, writing and social media.

Minimum qualifications:

• An Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred) in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in communications/marketing.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent oral communications skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Content writing experience for all media platforms.
• Proven social media and networking expertise.
• Strategic and creative mindset.
• Experience with conducting an interview for print (and/or radio /television)
• Keen eye for developing new and engaging content on relevant and emerging topics
• Experience with software such as Microsoft Office Suites, Project Management Tool, Canva, Adobe Creative Suites, Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter

Essential Duties:

• Work with Communications team to plan and implement the Strategic Plan, campaigns, messaging, etc.
• Build, develop, and maintain relationships across the organization.
• Research and write news stories and content for the organization's website, blogs, and newsletters.
• Assist with the bidding, ordering, development, and distribution of promotional items
• Assist with photography and video projects.
• Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the organization's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
