Schedule Night shift, 3x12.0 hours. Job Description The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory support and facilitating patient transport as medically indicated. This role requires evaluation of patients and formulation of treatment plans, along with the education of patients regarding their care upon discharge. Responsibilities Administer physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen systems, and aerosol devices. Conduct chest physiotherapy to assist in secretion clearance. Perform suctioning by oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods. Monitor oximetry and capnography according to established policies. Review chest x-rays to identify needs for further evaluation. Perform pulmonary function studies and assist in respiratory procedures per policy. Conduct arterial punctures and ensure efficient ventilation monitoring and reporting. Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines. Manage tracheostomy care, including tube insertion and removal. Maintain documentation and communication regarding patient treatments and responses. Ensure accurate respiratory therapy charging and data management. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Applicants must hold a valid respiratory therapist license and have relevant experience in providing respiratory care. Why ARMStaffing?
