Take on a meaningful nursing role providing 1:1 care to a vibrant first-grade student with high-acuity needs in a supportive school environment near Cicero, IL. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity centers on delivering compassionate and skilled nursing care throughout the school day to empower a child’s educational journey.

Key Schedule Details:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:35 AM – 3:20 PM
• Tuesday Early Release: 8:35 AM – 2:25 PM
• Full school-year, on-site engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current and active RN license/certification in the state.
• Hands-on pediatric nursing background, preferably in school, home health, or high-acuity settings.
• Direct experience with tracheostomy, mechanical ventilation, and suctioning procedures.
• Proficiency in managing G-tube/pump feeding and safe oral liquid intake.
• Physically able to assist with wheelchair transfers, hygiene care, and handle heavy medical equipment (such as oxygen tanks).
• Willingness to supervise the child on the school bus to and from the campus daily (short commute each way).
• Excellent collaborative skills for clear communication with parents, fellow staff, and administrators.

• Deliver individualized care and close medical monitoring for your assigned student.
• Operate and maintain all necessary equipment, ensuring a safe classroom and transit environment each day.
• Support the student’s dignity, comfort, and readiness to participate.
• Serve as a key health partner, providing updates and contributing to a positive, inclusive educational experience.
