Pharmacist in York, PA

A leading 500-bed hospital is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to support patient care with a contract position based in York, PA. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced inpatient setting, supporting medication management and safety.


Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• 13-week assignment with potential for extension
• ASAP start date

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals on medication therapies
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize patient treatments
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and patient safety protocols
• Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly preferred
