Reliability Engineer – Spare Parts & Preventive Maintenance

US Modules is seeking a Reliability Engineer – Spare Parts & Preventive Maintenance to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment within our solar module manufacturing facility.

This role will focus on preventive maintenance, spare parts management, equipment reliability, and maintenance planning. The Reliability Engineer will work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to reduce unplanned downtime, improve equipment uptime, and ensure critical parts are available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production and facility equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and other reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop equipment criticality assessments and reliability strategies for key production assets.
• Perform and support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures.
• Develop and maintain critical spare parts lists, minimum/maximum inventory levels, and reorder points.
• Partner with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to ensure critical MRO parts are available.
• Maintain accurate equipment, BOM, spare parts, and PM information within the CMMS.
• Create and improve PM work orders, maintenance procedures, inspection checklists, and job plans.
• Analyze maintenance history and spare-parts usage to identify trends and reduce recurring failures.
• Support equipment commissioning and establish maintenance requirements for new equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, OEE, maintenance costs, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Work with equipment OEMs and vendors on equipment reliability, replacement parts, and maintenance requirements.
• Promote a proactive, data-driven maintenance culture across the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with spare parts, MRO inventory, or maintenance materials.
• Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

• Experience in high-volume automated manufacturing.
• Solar, semiconductor, electronics, battery, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing experience.
• CMRP, CRE, or similar reliability certification.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated equipment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Experience with SAP, Maximo, Fiix, eMaint, or similar systems.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position at the US Modules solar module manufacturing facility in College Station, Texas. The role requires regular interaction with the manufacturing floor, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams and adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.
