As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Upper Marlboro, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and campus activity during assigned shifts, assisting students, staff, and visitors with directions, information, and reporting procedures.
• Support Allied Universal standards by preparing routine reports, noting unusual activity, and/or relaying maintenance or life emergency concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
