Maintenance Tech 1Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 for the Wilson, NC facility. The Tech 1 will provide maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians. Pay rate is $29.75/hour.ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)Perform Maintenance and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial equipmentPerform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating TechniciansTroubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)Minimum QualificationsApplicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following minimum requirements:Be at least 18 years old (on the date the opportunity is posted);Receive a passing score on the entry test and/or interview assessment selected by the Company.Enrolled in a 2-year technical degree (associate of science) in electronics, robotics, general technology or related technical field.or 3+ years of experience as maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.or Veteran (exiting military) candidate from a highly technical job field with at least 6+ years of active duty service (e.g. US Navy- Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.).Assuming that an applicant meets the minimum qualifications listed above, in order to be further considered, the applicant must pass a entrance test taken on a computer.Employment EligibilityIf hired, a Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification must be completed at the start of employment.
