Project Manager 3 (Data Centers) - Columbia, MD

Locations Columbia, MD 21046, USA Description Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our culture. As a Project Manager, you are part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows. Responsibilities Planning, scheduling, organizing and directing application engineering, field installation and start-up of assigned projects. Ensuring projects are executed within budget and time schedules and ensuring positive cash flow. Acting as the key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. Highest level of Project Manager may have direct reports for high volume and/or critical accounts. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Qualifications Expert project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems). Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation. Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions. Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principals. Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control. Requirements Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience: 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management. 5 years supervisory experience.
