CDR ProSource is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Production Worker to join our manufacturing team in Jasper, TN. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, be comfortable working with hand tools, and be able to perform physically demanding tasks in a non-climate-controlled facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Tie and secure materials onto racks using wire or chain to ensure safe movement through the galvanizing process.
• Prepare materials for pickling tanks using wire, rope, and designated tooling according to established galvanizing procedures.
• Inspect forklifts, cranes, tooling, and other equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Learn and assist with racking a variety of materials.
• Rack, unrack, and clean materials as directed by production requirements.
• Operate a torch to dry materials prior to hot-dipping when trained and authorized.
• Clean and prepare materials using grinders, files, brushes, and other hand tools as required.
• Inspect materials for sags, runs, drips, bare spots, holes, and other quality concerns and report issues to management.
• Use bolt cutters to safely remove wire from products and tooling and dispose of materials according to established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area and equipment.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding material conditions, damage, or quality concerns that may impact production or customer requirements.
• Assist with training new production employees when requested by management.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and policies, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience using hand tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
