Remote Master Data Management / MDM Architect

This is a remote position. For an international organization in Geneva, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE Master Data Management / MDM Architect. Candidates need to be able to work normal office hours in Geneva, Switzerland. During the corona crisis, interviews will be done through WEBEX, and travel is not required for the interviews. All positions are long-term.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Defining an MDM vision statement, ensuring alignment between the MDM strategy and the overall data and analytics strategy of the organization
• Aligning the scope of each phase of the MDM initiatives with the enterprise information management strategy and other data initiatives
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, quantify, and prioritize the expected business outcomes for each phase of MDM
• Building an MDM roadmap which aligns to the prioritized business outcomes defined in the MDM strategy
• Identifying the key business processes that will be affected by MDM
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the required business process changes needed to execute on MDM program goals are successfully implemented
• Collaborate with the data governance stakeholders and other project bodies to define the data governance procedures and processes needed to support each phase of the MDM roadmap
• Act as an evangelist for MDM in the organization, develop and execute a plan to communicate the goals and ongoing progress and successes of MDM within the organisation
• Actively participate in the data governance and operations meetings of the organization to ensure ongoing alignment of the enterprise-wide data procedures and processes with the goals of the MDM program
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and manage the set of business KPIs included in the MDM roadmap which will be used to measure MDM success, create the regularly published dashboards used to measure and monitor success
• Create the regularly published data quality dashboards used to measure and monitor MDM success
• Collaborate with senior leaders to secure any required budgets or other methods of funding the successful execution of an MDM strategy
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders to define and implement the MDM dependencies and deliverables within the overall IT architecture, data models, data integration, application development, data quality technologies, system management, and security and reporting
• Develop an MDM workplan for the duration of the consultancy in line with the overall Project Plan
• Provide content on Master Data and Data Stewardship activities for Project communications

Profile: Bachelor or Master degree; 8-10+ years of IT work experience including at least 3 years of Enterprise Data Management system implementation projects (e.g., MDM requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution). Previous experience implementing Master Data Management system and driving business and technical workshops for strategy development, requirements definition, solution design and proposed implantation plans Knowledge and experience with data (management, governance, protection, anonymization), IT security and management policies and procedures: Ability to monitor Data Quality Monitoring and any reporting; Relate the data structure based on business taxonomy and hierarchy (Data ontology); Curate / correct data in terms of cleansing, correction, standardization, deduplication, matching and data keys and other data cleansing capabilities; Ability to integrate using multiple techniques with business systems that consume and reference data (ERP/CRM, Data platform, analytical tools); MDM tools and architecture; Understand how privacy and data protection can be addressed using Data Obfuscation, Data anonymization etc. to address privacy and regulatory compliance needs; Appreciation of how MDM interacts with any existing Data Governance tools Fluent in English; Location: Remote; Salary/Day price: Depending on experience.
