Title: Lab Technician
Location: 1910 East Innovation Park Drive, Tucson, AZ 85755
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Duration: 1-year contract (possible extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM MST
Work Type: Onsite
Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining and servicing diagnostic laboratory equipment and slide scanning systems while supporting lab operations, sample preparation, documentation, and equipment inventory
Responsibilities
- Support laboratory experiments and research activities
- Prepare lab materials and samples for testing
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards
- Assist with data collection and documentation
- Maintain lab inventory and equipment
Key Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with equipment maintenance and hand tools
- Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Customer service experience and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
Preferred:
- Experience in research or diagnostic laboratories.
