Safety Coordinator

Newrest is looking for a Safety Coordinator to be part of the team for its IAH unit. This individual will share responsibility with other Safety Coordinators to ensure the safety at the ramp. This individual will train, monitor, and audit all safety processes for the facility. The individual will spend most of their time at the airport. Essential Functions Ensure that all Drivers and Ramp personnel perform their job in a safe manner in line with airport regulations and traffic laws. Perform fifteen ramp safety audits per shift at the airport. Perform other safety audits as needed. Coordinate new hire safety training and perform the safety training. Ensure all Drivers are properly trained before starting work. Track on spreadsheet and online the audit report and progress. Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position. Perform other duties as assigned. Education/Experience Requirements High school diploma required Previous experience as an auditor preferred Qualifications Must possess valid Driver License- Active Must be able to pass airport security clearance SIDA including CBP clearance Knowledge of airport safety regulations preferred Must be able to perform and be certified as inflight catering Driver Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job.
