Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $105,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and year-end close processes. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns. Stay current with tax regulations and provide guidance on tax planning strategies.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze budget variances and provide insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, or finance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in Public accounting and Auditing.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle NetSuit) and MS Office Suite (Excel).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail..
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
