Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Night Shift

Role Overview

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, administer ionizing radiation, and assist licensed practitioners. They ensure proper patient identification, preparation, and safety, adhering to ALARA principles. They evaluate image quality, document activities, and may prepare or administer medications. The role includes educating students and healthcare providers and assisting with procedures outside the radiology department.

Key Responsibilities

Obtain correct orders, optimize imaging protocols, ensure patient safety, evaluate and verify images, and support various clinical procedures including in operating rooms and ICU settings. Compliance with policies and laws related to radiation and medication administration is essential.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program, with new graduates required to obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months. Applicants may be considered for higher levels based on skills and experience. Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, patient safety, and effective communication are vital.
