Patient Care Assistant

Role Overview Provides direct patient care under supervision, assisting with activities of daily living, developmentally appropriate activities, and patient transport. Supervises and supports patients and co-workers, utilizing crisis control and de-escalation techniques as needed. Key Responsibilities Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service with patients, families, and staff. Maintains accurate documentation of patient conditions and reports changes promptly. Ensures a safe, organized, and infection-controlled environment for patients and staff. Responds swiftly to alarms and communication, manages clerical tasks, and supports team training. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following: completion of a recognized clinical rotation, Ohio STNA or CNA registry listing, Ohio or National EMS Registry listing, or at least one year of recent patient care experience. CPR certification is required. Additional Details Full-time role with rotating shifts, primarily based at Location A, within the SRU Clinical Support Team.
