Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a cardiac overflow unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and a minimum of two years of telemetry nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Care for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial) and VATS
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Utilizes Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment
• Night shift schedule from 7p-7a
• Required to work every other weekend
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required
• Associate's degree in Nursing required
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
• Cerner experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to a family-oriented cardiac unit
• Must start orientation on one of the designated 2026 dates: October 26, November 9, November 16, or December 7
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
