Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer - Advanced Manufacturing

This role is designed for high-energy professionals who seek to deliver cutting-edge HVAC design solutions for clients in sectors like electric vehicle, battery manufacturing, specialty chemicals, and more. You'll enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with a team of engineers and designers, conducting field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, selecting equipment, and preparing comprehensive construction design packages. You will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality and timely execution of challenging engineering tasks while aligning with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your impact will be significant in: Designing and laying out innovative HVAC systems for our diverse industrial clients. Creating design criteria for HVAC systems that include general comfort heating and cooling, as well as specialized temperature or humidity control, pressurization requirements, and cleanroom applications. Generating conceptual and preliminary design documents including system sizing calculations and development of Utility System P&IDs and general arrangements. Designing ductwork layouts based on Air Flow and Instrumentation Diagrams (AF&ID). Finalizing design documents encompassing specifications, sequences of operation, piping layouts, and construction documents for systems like chilled water and cooling water. Coordinating successful project outcomes with other disciplines. Qualifications: 8 or more years of experience in HVAC system design. Extensive knowledge of HVAC-related codes and standards. Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) License. Proven adaptability to a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Experience leading building mechanical teams and collaborating with multi-discipline team members remotely. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D software. Experience in designing plumbing and utility systems.
