Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN Profession: RN Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS; Certification with ARNA preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Must be able to read, write, and speak English. - Responsible and accountable for quality care of patients while in the Imaging Department. - Provides direct patient care while the patient is in the Imaging department, including monitoring the patient's condition. - Observes the patient's vital signs and records them if applicable. - Maintains intravenous lines for those patients who are receiving intravenous fluids. - Administers first aid and assists with patient comfort when applicable. - Administers medications under the direction of a physician. - Assists in various procedures in the Imaging department. - Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups and backgrounds. - Maintains IV skills and emergency equipment in proper working order. - Knowledgeable concerning emergency equipment and supplies utilized in emergency patient care. - Familiar with and maintains proper drug inventory in the crash cart and emergency drug reaction kits. - Acts as a liaison between the Imaging department and the patient care division. - Responsible for proper documentation of patient records while in the Imaging department. - Notifies the appropriate person concerning any adverse changes in the patient's condition. - Coordinates any changes in Imaging policies and procedures affecting patient care. - Performs other duties as assigned by the Imaging Director. - Provides excellence in hospitality, courtesy, and compassion. Description: A dynamic nursing role focusing on providing care in the Interventional Radiology setting. Engage with patients for both invasive and non-invasive procedures. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Dress code includes surgical scrubs provided for procedure areas. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
