A well-established organization is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee employee benefits, HR administration, compliance, insurance, safety, fleet administration, and payroll support. This is a hands-on role for a highly organized professional who enjoys variety and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines with discretion and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits including health, FSA, life, disability, and 401(k) programs
• Support payroll administration and maintain accurate employee compensation records
• Coordinate HR compliance, regulatory filings, licenses, renewals, and reporting
• Maintain OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, insurance, and employee-related records
• Coordinate insurance claims, workplace injuries, and occupational health requirements
• Manage company vehicle/fleet registrations, permits, and compliance documentation
• Support recruiting, onboarding, drug testing, employee records, leave administration, and terminations
• Assist with employee relations and respond to routine HR and benefits questions
• Coordinate 401(k) audits, Workers’ Compensation audits, and other required audits
• Maintain compliance calendars and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide administrative support to management and assist with special projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR/administrative experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR, payroll, benefits, and employment compliance
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong Excel/Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Preferred: Experience in construction, contracting, transportation, manufacturing, or another operational environment, including familiarity with OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, IFTA, Form 2290, fleet compliance, and 401(k) administration.
