Contact Center Representative – Scheduler

Location: Bellaire, TX 77401
Job Type: Contract – 13 Weeks with Potential for Permanent Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Start Date: November 30, 2026

Job Summary

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking experienced Contact Center Representatives – Schedulers for a leading pediatric healthcare organization in the Bellaire area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of contact center, customer service, and/or healthcare experience, with strong communication and customer service skills. Healthcare scheduling, patient registration, and electronic medical record (EMR) experience are highly valuable for this position.

This is a 13-week contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients and customers regarding appointments and account-related matters.
• Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments accurately.
• Assist with patient registration and verify patient demographic and other required information.
• Document calls, patient interactions, and customer inquiries accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Respond to patient and customer questions and provide appropriate solutions.
• Follow up on unresolved questions or concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of customer interactions.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow all applicable HIPAA and protected health information (PHI) requirements.
• Communicate scheduling and healthcare-related information clearly and professionally.
• Provide a positive, courteous, and compassionate customer experience.
• Follow established contact center procedures, performance standards, and customer service expectations.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced contact center environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of contact center, customer service, and/or healthcare experience required.
• Previous healthcare contact center experience.
• Experience with medical scheduling and patient registration.
• Knowledge of patient privacy requirements and protected health information (PHI).
• Understanding of customer service best practices and managing customer expectations.
• Experience using computers and electronic medical record (EMR) software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately listen, document, and enter information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a contact center team.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
