Registered Nurse – Float – L&D/Mother Baby Sinai Hospital’s Float Pool is looking for a Registered Nurse with flexibility and a dedication to providing exceptional care across a variety of units and specialties. The Float Pool serves as supplemental staffing to meet unit needs. Openings are available for full‑time and part‑time positions, and all staff are eligible to participate in the clinical ladder and hospital committees. Sign‑On Bonus Potential: $10,000.00. Job Summary As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and serves as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. Requirements Telemetry experience required Peds/PICU/NICU experience required 2+ years of nursing experience required RN license in Maryland or Compact State (as applicable) Additional Requirements for Pediatric Float Roles Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Stable certification within 6 months of hire Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire Preferred: Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) – Pediatric or Neonatal Additional Requirements for Critical Care Float Roles Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire Float Pool staff will follow a 6‑week schedule and have a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays, and 2 difficult‑to‑staff days. All staff are eligible for shift incentives once flex obligations have been met.
