Underwriting Specialist II

Supporting the growth and profitability of the Employee Benefits business, the full-time remote Underwriting Specialist II will analyze and evaluate risks for new and renewing groups while ensuring accurate and timely case implementation. Key Responsibilities Analyze and evaluate new business, sold cases, and renewal risks while applying underwriting guidelines and contract provisions Support business growth and profitability by validating rates, plan designs, and insurance risk assessments Partner with Underwriting, Contracts, Premium Administration, and Field teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of cases Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of insurance experience, preferably in disability benefits Experience providing customer service in a high-volume and/or complex work environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data extraction and basic formula functions Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
