Relief Pharmacist

Title: Pharmacist State Role Title: Pharmacist II Hiring Range: $69.50 Pay Band: 6 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Ctr Job Duties Accurately interpret, evaluate, and dispense pharmaceuticals to the nursing units, including checking for appropriateness of therapy. Control pharmacy inventory and maintain accurate medication inventory and records. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy as set forth by FDA, Virginia Board of Pharmacy, and Federal law. Provide information to facility physicians and other staff on pharmacy and pharmaceutical care, and ensure pharmacy department adheres to facility policies. Assist in writing policies or procedures for the pharmacy department, as needed. All other duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager. May be required to assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Minimum Qualifications Ability to interpret, evaluate, and dispense pharmaceuticals. Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with Federal and State law and facility policies. Special Considerations Must be able to transport residents within the multi-level facility using elevators and/or stairs.
