Facilities Maintenance Technician IISeeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician II to support a growing organization with multiple facilities. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds to support a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently across a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday 5:30a - 2pOn-call requirementResponsibilities and Duties:Aid in maintaining all equipment both inside and outsideRoutine painting inside and outAble to work with contractorsMake necessary repairs in machinery and/or vehiclesMake routine checks in heating and air conditioning equipment to ensure they are functioning properlyKeep all areas clean and free of anything that would constitute a safety hazard or eyesoreOperate all vehicles and machinery necessary for groundskeepingPerform general responsibilities common to the maintenance area as assigned by the Maintenance ManagerMaintain confidential informationInteract with the community and employeesSupport and participate in other company initiatives as directed by managementPerform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma; minimum 5 years' relevant experience in maintenance, construction, HVAC, and equipment repair.Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repair.Skills and Abilities:Ability to recognize problems in assigned areasAble to work independently with little or no supervisionAbility to read blueprints and other diagrams that relate to machinery, etc. used in maintenance areasReading and writing skills.Good interpersonal skills.Good Mechanical skillsPerformance Requirements:The characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters when performing the essential functions of this job.
