Make a Difference in Your Community The St. Louis County Department of Revenue seeks an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee an accounting section and perform professional accounting work. Learn more about the program: Public Service Loan Forgiveness | Federal Student Aid Responsibilities Oversees the daily workflow of lower-level staff, including providing support when needed. Manage the processing of invoices, contracts, contract amendments, purchase orders, and supplemental agreements. Provides assistance on budget planning. Supports Accounting Manager in implementing new processes and/or policies. Resolve account discrepancy records to correct assessments, data entry errors and misapplied or erroneous payments. Enforces policies and procedures and monitor accounts to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate activities of subordinates. Assign and review subordinates' work. Approve subordinates' time off. Prepare and sign performance appraisals. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and four years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and relevant work experience. The work rules for the Department of Revenue require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.
