About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years in high-risk and high-acuity environments License: Current compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: - 3-5 years of experience in Labor and Delivery - Current supervisory references - Proof of required certifications - Pass clinical review Description: Candidates must have experience working in fast-paced and high-acuity environments. Preference for candidates with high-risk experience, particularly in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must function in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries. Candidates will provide care for newborns until transfer to postpartum. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is required. Candidates must circulate and provide newborn care, including eye care and Vitamin K injections. Daily census averages 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries per month. Unit consists of high-risk and high-volume Labor and Delivery. Candidates must work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Floating to postpartum and antepartum units may be required. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Candidates must demonstrate skills in various medical procedures and patient care tasks. References are required that cover the last year of experience. All candidates will adhere to unit staffing guidelines and protocols.
