CNC Plasma Operator

Job Full Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Plasma Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC plasma cutting machines to produce high-quality metal parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut metal materials based on blueprints and job specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders Load and position materials on cutting tables using proper lifting techniques or equipment Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and basic troubleshooting Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required 1-3+ years of experience operating CNC plasma or similar CNC equipment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC programming is a plus Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods Preferred Skills: Experience with CAD/CAM software Familiarity with metal fabrication processes Forklift or overhead crane experience Johnston County, NC 1017 328 Brightleaf Blvd Smithfield, NC 27577
