Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Compensation Compensation Range: $145,000 - $150,000 yearly commensurate with experience. Benefits Three comprehensive healthcare plans are available. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion based on your salary. Staff begins accruing paid time off immediately, up to 30 days earned in the first year. An educational benefit is provided for tuition loan reimbursement, tuition costs, and textbooks. Overview The Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric (NPP) will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to an existing and growing panel of patients for Housing Works. Responsibilities Provide routine psychiatric evaluations and medication management as appropriate to Housing Works psychiatric clientele. Offer psychiatric medication management coverage if a primary provider is unavailable. Conduct psychiatric assessments for clients in need of housing. Maintain a panel of patients for follow‑up psychiatric care. Participate in clinical supervision with the Chief of Psychiatry or designee. Attend case conferences, operational and quality meetings, and provide clinical consultation to clinic staff and supervision to NPP students. Coordinate care with colleagues within the clinic and with outside providers in accordance with standard clinical practice. Adhere to all state, federal, and regulatory agency laws and regulations and exhibit the highest ethical conduct per the American Psychological Association’s Code of Conduct and relevant standards of care. Receive supervision from the Chief Psychiatric Officer on clinical and administrative issues. Qualifications New York State Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a master’s level nursing degree from an accredited program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. ANCC Board Certification in Adult Psychiatric NP. Requirements This position requires full COVID‑19 vaccination unless a legal accommodation is granted.
