Overview Orlando Health Cancer Institute is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer program offering services across six treatment sites and more than 10 practice locations. Position Summary Provides service and leadership consistent with the mission and vision of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Location: Lake Mary Work schedule: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Responsibilities Essential Functions Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Clinical Manager, responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services at the designated practice site. Plan, organize, execute, and monitor clinical pharmacy services designed to improve the quality of patient care while effectively utilizing resources. Coordinate activities and responsibilities of the pharmacy department to ensure clinical services are provided with sufficient scope and coverage to meet the needs of the patient population and community served. Organize and maintain documentation of clinical activities for pharmacy management and accreditation purposes. Conduct clinical practice, including facilitating pharmacotherapy and pharmacokinetic consultations with physicians and other healthcare providers. Assist with nutritional support consultations with physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare providers as applicable. Engage in continuous professional development related to clinical practice. Support staff pharmacist clinical education and training for core competencies. Develop policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs encompassing clinical pharmacy services as necessary. Participate on multidisciplinary committees, such as the Pharmacotherapy Committee and subcommittees. Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other standards. Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Participate in pharmacy and medical resident training through multidisciplinary patient care rounds and site-specific educational programs. Serve as preceptor to students and interns for affiliated colleges of pharmacy (site specific). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Training Pharmacy degree (Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy) is required. Licensure/Certification Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the Florida Board of Pharmacy or obtain license within 4 months of hire. Experience Must meet one (1) of the following: Two (2) years completion of an ASHP-accredited residency or Fellowship in a specialty area aligned with practice needs of the institution. One (1) year completion of an ASHP-accredited residency plus specialty practice experience (1+ years) aligned with practice needs of the institution.
