Description The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist I is responsible for establishing and expanding clinical services within the area of practice. Key duties include: Develop medication protocols, order sets, and facilitate medication utilization reviews and performance improvement projects to optimize drug therapy. Provide mentorship and act as a clinical resource for staff and other healthcare providers. Serve as an expert for clinical activities related to pharmacy department programs, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Perform drug distribution functions as assigned. Demonstrate the ability to work with patients across growth and development stages, meeting quality standards measured by the quality improvement process. Estimated salary range: $117,150.22 – $152,295.29 per year, depending on experience. Qualifications Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) required. Licensed Registered Pharmacist. Board Certified (BPS) in a relevant specialty required; if not certified, must obtain BPS within 1 year of hire. PGY1 residency with 2 years of practice experience in specialty area and BPS required. PGY2 residency required with BPS obtained within 1 year of hire. In the absence of residency training, a minimum of 5 years of practice experience in the specialty area is required.
