IT Support Assistant

Position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time IT Support Assistant who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Director of IT.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
• Research questions using available information resources.
• Advise user on appropriate action.
• Follow standard help desk procedures.
• Log all help desk interactions.
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
• Administer help desk software.
• Manage networked printers
• Track computer and printer inventory.
• Track and verify all computers are up to date with anti-virus and Windows updates.
• Deploy/redeploy computers using MDT.

Qualifications

• Degree in related discipline (e.g. Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or similar field) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience
• Working knowledge of Windows 10 and 11; Office 2021, and general computer hardware.
• Knowledge and experience of customer service practices.
• Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
